Warsaw, Virginia – Wife, mother, businesswoman, and community leader Hillary Pugh Kent is proud to announce that she has secured the Republican nomination for Virginia’s 67th House of Delegates District, encompassing the counties of King George, Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond, Westmoreland, and Caroline (part).

“I am incredibly honored to have earned the trust and support of Republicans throughout the newly configured 67th District. From an early age, I learned the value of faith, family, service, and hard work growing up on our family farm here in the Northern Neck, and I will bring those same values to Richmond,” said Kent. “Our community is such a unique, special place where my husband and I are incredibly proud to raise our boys. As 67th District Delegate, I will continue the tradition of strong, conservative leadership and always put Virginia families first.”

Hillary Pugh Kent announced her candidacy for the Virginia House of Delegates following the announced retirement of Delegate Margaret Bevans Ransone, who has represented the region since 2012.

Since launching her campaign, Kent has announced endorsements from Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares, Senator Richard H. Stuart, Sheriff Steve Smith (Richmond County), Sheriff Patrick McCranie (Lancaster), Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp (Northumberland), Sheriff Chris Giles (King George), Sheriff Steve Dempsey (King George, Ret.), and Clerk of the Circuit Court Vic Mason (King George).  Numerous district-wide coalitions have been established, to include ‘Farmers for Hillary’ and ‘Watermen for Hillary.’

The newly configured House of Delegates 67th District (formerly the 99th) includes the counties of: King George, Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond County, Westmoreland, and Caroline (part). All 100 seats in Virginia’s House of Delegates and all 40 seats in the Senate of Virginia are up for election in November.
