Warsaw, Virginia – Hillary Pugh Kent this week received the endorsement of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation (VFBF) AgPAC, a political action committee of Virginia Farm Bureau Federation, in the race for the 67th District seat in the Virginia House of Delegates.

“Growing up in the Northern Neck, I remember my grandparents teaching me about the importance of farming to our community,” said Kent. “I understand the historical and economic impact the agricultural industry has on our region, and I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Virginia Farm Bureau.”

Endorsements were made based on the recommendations of local committees of farmers who assessed candidates’ understanding of the needs and challenges that farmers face. These committees consider candidates’ voting records or their demonstrated willingness to listen, seeking to understand the nuances of agricultural issues with a commitment to ensure agriculture and forestry remain the No. 1 industry in the Commonwealth.

“Hillary Pugh Kent has a clear understanding of the needs and challenges farmers are facing and has a proven willingness to help protect the agriculture and forestry industries.” said Wayne F. Pryor, VFBF president and chairman of the VFBF AgPAC board of trustees. “We look forward to working with her in the 2024 Virginia General Assembly.”

VFBF AgPAC is a nonpartisan political action committee that works to build relationships with elected officials and enhance their understanding of agricultural issues. Kent is running for the Virginia House of Delegates District 67 (formerly the 99th) including the counties of: Caroline (part), King George, Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond and Westmoreland.
