Early Voting Begins Friday, September 22nd
or Vote on Election Day - Tuesday, November 7th

What’s on the ballot this year?

 

This year’s ballot will include candidates for the Senate of Virginia, the Virginia House of Delegates, Sheriff, Commonwealth’s Attorney, Treasurer, Commissioner of the Revenue, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Board of Supervisors, and School Board.

There are 3 ways to vote –

  1. In-Person Early Voting – Early voting begins 45 days before Election Day. You may vote in person at your local Voter Registrar’s Office beginning Friday, September 22nd through Saturday, November 4th.

  2. Voting by Mail (Absentee) – If you choose to vote by mail, you must request an absentee / mail-in ballot from your local registrar by October 27, either via a paper absentee application or online at vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation. Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day (Tuesday, November 7th) to be counted.

  3. Voting In-Person On Election Day – In person voting on Election Day will occur at your district’s polling location on Tuesday, November 7th. Polling hours are from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. If you are in line by 7:00 p.m., you will be able to vote. If you do not know where your current polling location is, visit vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation or call your local Voter Registrar’s Office.

Important Dates

Friday, September 22nd – First day of early in-person voting
Monday, October 16th – Deadline to register to vote
Friday, October 27th – Deadline to apply for an absentee/mail-in ballot
Saturday, November 4th – Last day to vote early in-person
Tuesday, November 7th – Election Day
